Her story

Dr. Kaushal Gandhi started out in the dental profession twenty years ago, first as a Dental Hygienist and then as a General Dentist. She is the founder of Mint Leaf Dentistry in Morrisville, NC.

She received both her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Gandhi served as the Student Body President, a North Carolina Albert Schweitzer Fellow, and was actively involved in several other leadership roles and volunteer activities. She has spent considerable time volunteering both locally in North Carolina and internationally in Uganda, Brazil, and India for outreach and exchange programs.

Today she stays deeply involved in the profession: with the UNC Adams School of Dentistry as part of the Admissions Committee, as a facilitator for the Think Big program for graduating DDS students, and as the newly appointed Global Preceptor for Indonesia with UNC ASOD-Global. She also serves on the NC Advisory Committee for Eastern Dentists Insurance Company. In 2024, Invisalign recognized Dr. Gandhi as a "Rising Star" for excellence, dedication, and achievement as an outstanding Invisalign provider. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the International Dental Implant Association, the American Association of Clear Aligners, the American Association of Facial Esthetics, and a graduate of the world-renowned Kois Center.

In her free time, Dr. Gandhi loves to travel the world, try out different cuisines, beat her family in their Fantasy Football League, play tennis, cheer on her favorite Tarheels, and speculate why Game of Thrones ended the way it did.

“I truly love dentistry and am happiest when I am helping my patients gain a better smile, whether it is through education, prevention, or treatment. I am a lifelong learner and love that dentistry allows me to help people improve their oral and overall health and have fun in the process. My passion for making a positive impact on my patients’ lives, while making dentistry relaxing and fun for them, is what inspired me to establish a brand new practice in the area I grew up in.
